Q. What do I wear to a massage?
A. You can wear whatever you like to a massage. We never ask you to disrobe beneath your level of comfort. If you like we can let you know what is recommended based on your specific need. It is never necessary to take off your undergarments and if it makes you more comfortable to wear shorts, that is ok too.
Q. How does scheduling work? I don’t want to offend anyone.
A. We schedule based on your request. Some people request first available, some request a specific time or day that works best for them, and some have a particular therapist that they request. You will never offend any of us by making a request about a therapist or pressure, etc. We work as a team and our goal is to get you the care you need.
Q. Do you do deep tissue?
A. All of our therapists are trained to do deep tissue and many other techniques as well. Our clinic is unique in that we can customize a massage specific to your needs. If you prefer deep tissue, then we encourage feedback. Everyone has a different pain tolerance, therefore everyone has a different idea of what deep tissue is. Feel free to discuss this with us.
Q. What’s the best way to schedule?
A. This has been a question we have gotten the last 11 years of business. The best way to schedule is to call 419-629-2717. Due to the nature of our business, it's likely you will get our answering machine. Simply leave a message, we WILL call you back. If you stop by, it’s possible, but unlikely that you’ll catch us. We have a part time receptionist, but most of the time our therapists return calls between scheduled appointments. We try very hard to return calls quickly, usually within one hour. Your patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Q. Do you have a Cancellation Policy?
A. We do. We ask that you are courteous to your therapist and to other clients. If you must cancel, we need to know as soon as possible. Repeat offenders who cancel with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the missed appointment.
Q. How long of a massage do I need?
A. We offer both therapeutic and relaxation massages based on time. You can request a 1/2 hour, 3/4 hour, 1 hour, 1 1/4 hour or 1 1/2 hour massages. On a healthy person, a 1/2 hour massage is sufficient for an upper body massage and a 1 hour is sufficient for a full body massage. Depending on your need, we may recommend something different, but ultimately it is your decision.
Q. Do you ever have anyone fall asleep?
A. Occasionally, this happens. We just take it as a compliment!
Q. What are your hours?
A. Our hours of operation are flexible. We usually schedule appointments anywhere from 8:30am– 7:00pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Fridays and 8:30am-1:00pm Saturdays. However, if these appointments aren't all filled, we may close the office for a short time. We are guaranteed to be here Monday– Friday 10-5 and Saturdays 10-1. Just let us know your schedule and we would be happy to work with you. **PLEASE leave a message if you call- due to the nature of our business, you will likely get the machine when you call. WE WILL CALL YOU BACK!!**
Q. Can you explain why there is a fee to order a GC from your website?
A. Yes! Basically, the cost of the online gift certificate service is too high for our therapists to absorb. We want to offer the convenience of ordering a gift certificate from the comfort of your home, but cannot afford to absorb the cost of doing so on our end. We went with the most economical option, that still provides a fantastic customer experience: you can securely order and print your Gift Certificate without leaving your home. You can also email it to the recipient if you choose. For those who wish to avoid the fee, we will always continue to fill orders at our office.
