Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about our services and some of our treatments.

A: You can wear whatever you like to a massage. We never ask you to disrobe beneath your level of comfort. Most people wear their undergarments. You are covered under a sheet the entire time. If you are unsure, just ask and we will discuss when you schedule.

A: We schedule based on your request. Some people request first available, some request a specific time or day that works best for them, and some have a particular therapist that they request.

You will never offend any of us by making a request about a therapist or pressure, etc. We work as a team and our goal is to get you the care you need. The best way to schedule is to call 419-629-2717. We don’t have a receptionist (you’ll always talk to a therapist when you call!), so you’ll likely get our answering machine. We try to return calls between appointments.

A: We do. When you schedule an appointment with us, you are agreeing to this policy. We reserve the right to charge a no-show the full charge of their missed session. After 1 grace, we reserve the right to charge 50% of a same day cancellation.  However, if you are sick, we want you to cancel. Please call to let us know you will not make it as soon as possible. We have this policy because no-shows and late cancellations have a significant impact on the income of our staff. Thank you for understanding.

A: We offer therapeutic and relaxation massages as timed appointments. On a healthy person, a 1/2 hour massage is sufficient for an upper-body massage (or partial body, like feet and legs) and 1 hour is sufficient for a full-body massage. If you have a medical issue that you would like addressed, feel free to ask for a recommendation. Medical issues sometimes take additional time.

A: Yes, our therapists are trained to do deep tissue and many other techniques as well. We customize every massage to fit your specific needs. Don’t be afraid to give us feedback. Everyone perceives pressure differently, and it is important to us that you get what you need.

A: The therapist will recommend techniques that may fit your situation. You are always welcome to make a request. Techniques may include: Muscle release (deep tissue), lymphatic drainage, sports massage, specialized rotator cuff treatment, cupping, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, heat therapy (hot stones or mu-xing), trigger point therapy, Swedish massage and craniosacral.

A: Your first sauna session is $20. You will read and sign a waiver and we will show you how to use the sauna. You may sit as long as you'd like, up to 40 minutes. After your first session, if you tolerate the sauna well, you may "self-serve" for $15. We ask that you call to let us know what time you'd like to come, and you can start and finish your session on your own, and sit as long as you'd like (up to 40 minutes). If scheduled with a massage, the sauna is $10, self-served.

From the Ion Infra Manual: The ionic cleanse treatment works by osmosis. The array goes into the water with the feet and the control unit delivers a current to the array.

This causes the metal within the array, with the water and salt to generate positively and negatively charged ions. Your cells are then energized by the ions, stimulating the release of toxins, oils, acids, fats, heavy metals, yeast cellular debris and waste that have accumulated over your lifetime. The body can also eliminate parasites, pinworms and various colored mucus; even drawing massive amounts of nicotine from the tissue and joints of people that have quit smoking even several years ago. Ionic body cleanse is an innovative technique for facilitating detox and drainage while simultaneously fostering healthy pH changes in the body.
